about us

mosaïque is a dynamic young ensemble

of singers and instrumentalists from various European nations. mosaïque was founded in 2002 by three friends who wanted to realise some of their musical dream projects while continuing with their every-day singing work. Making music with friends and inviting listeners and participants to share in this has proved to be a very exciting and intimate experience for all those involved; and so we embarked on the mosaïque-adventure.

Opera Dreams with Inspiration from London

It's a very simple philosophy: music, friendship, atmosphere and an intimate concert experience, and while the face of the ensemble has changed a bit over the years, this philosophy is still at the heart of what we do. In making music together, we are passionate about allowing the quality of the individual voice to shine through whilst different voices and instruments come together to form a work of art.

The individuality of the voice remains,

while the different voices find together in an overall work of art. mosaïque brings people together through concerts, workshops, and sing-along events. Whether it is at the Alsterwanderweg Concerts in Hamburg, St. Paul’s in London, the International Festival Hall in Birmingham, the Jahrhunderthalle in Bochum, as special guests of the R. Schumann Festival in Zwickau, or through CD recordings.
